Oxygen's extensive experience has taught us as much about risk management as about event management.  With the requirement to run a large-scale conference in central London on the day of the 7/7/05 bombings for a major Government Department, our robust planning meant we were able to continue the conference successfully – although clearly with such a major disaster going on in London, we learned additional valuable lessons to add to our contingency planning portfolio. 

We review all the ‘what ifs’ for your event at a Contingency Planning meeting early on in the project planning phase and draw up a contingency plan. Once the parameters of the event project plan are agreed we would then carry out a risk assessment across the different facets of the project and agree appropriate and proportionate measures for risk mitigation and reduction, which can be documented in our standard Risk Register.
