Disability Capital Conferences

How do you cater for 500 disabled delegates?

Oxygen was contracted for three consecutive years to make the Mayor of London’s conference on disability exemplary in its access and inclusion aspects. It brought together individuals and stakeholders in London’s disabled community and gave them a voice to London’s policy-makers which was achieved through a vocal Q&A session and interactive voting on key questions.

Oxygen was hired to make the Greater London Authority (GLA)’s Disability Capital conference a benchmark accessible event. Oxygen’s technical provision set new standards in audio visual access.  Oxygen integrated live camera relay of BSL interpreters and speakers, PowerPoint presentations, realtime speech-to-text and video through a single projector system providing simultaneous display onto a large single screen, with three simultaneous live web casts offering a choice of BSL interpretation, speech to text and live camera and audio feeds as well as live PowerPoint.

Oxygen developed the first multi-channel live event webcast specifically aimed at the disabled community incorporating three simultaneous live streams – live relay of the speakers with speech-to-text palantype in real-time; BSL interpreter; and audio – as well as online voting. This enabled the conference to reach a further 200 delegates who couldn’t attend.
