Data Protection Act compliance

Complying with the Data Protection Act is no longer sufficient in itself; we pride ourselves on having a robust data security policy in line with emerging government guidelines. Delegate management involves the handling, collection, storage and transfer of various types of personal data.  Most event based data is not sensitive in the sense of the Data Protection Act definition, however new government guidelines have introduced a new category of information referred to as ‘PROTECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION’. 

Oxygen will safeguard any data provided by the client or collected on behalf of the client by complying with Oxygen’s Data Security Policy which follows guidelines from the recent Cabinet Office report, “Data Handling Procedures Across Government” (June 2008).

We attach the utmost importance to our client’s obligations to protect customer, staff and other sensitive information – regardless of the media used to store that information. Storage and transfer of information is strictly controlled and processes are in place to protect information at all times.
